A Once in a Lifetime Experience Dinner & the Opera Tuesday, January 18, 2005
The Sydney Opera House: A cultural and architectural masterpiece, our foremost tourist attraction is home to some of the world's most celebrated performing arts companies.
To tantalize all your senses, begin with a tour of the Opera House and dinner at a fine restaurant. Complete the evening with a world class performance and drinks overlooking stunning Sydney Harbour.
We invite Downunder Jamboree guests to be part of the Sydney Opera House experience with a fascinating tour 'behind the scenes' in this specially tailored performance package.
Dinner: There is nothing quite like a front row table with bridge and Opera House views for making people rigid with jealousy. If you were any closer to the opera house, you’d be in the audience. From Bordeaux to Penfolds, this famous restaurant has the best fine wine and dining experience in Sydney; the service is indulgent, but discrete, the food a revelation, the experience can not be duplicated anywhere in the world.
The Main Event: This is a wonderful year of Opera, whether you are a passionate opera lover of long standing or taking your first journey into opera's miraculous world of entertainment. Opera Australia is proud to present the laughter, passion, tenderness and musical magic of opera at the Sydney Opera House in January 2005. The 2005 Opera Calendar has not been published at this time; however, the current summer season has such greats as “The Magic Flute”, “La Traviata”, “The Flying Dutchman”,
“The Merry Widow, and “The Cunning Little Vixen”. Dine around restaurants sign up sheets will be available in Sydney at the Chem Nut – IAP Hospitality Desk for those who would prefer another option on this evening.
