For the budget conscious there are many things to do without going on the structured tours. When it comes to eating and touring, Australia will fit any size budget. It will be summer time in January and the beach with all its shops are close by. The harbor is walking distance with many shops, museums, aquarium, etc… Alternative examples are:
- breakfast and tour of the aquarium (approx. $24),
- the Magistic Premium Luncheon Cruise (approx. $64),
- The Sydney Harbour Bridge which links the southern and northern parts of the city and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Australia, walk, drive or take the train over the bridge, a one hour Sydney Opera House Tour (approx. $20) and much, much more.
- Also the Gold Coast is famous for its casinos.
